The Opportunity
Leavitt Machinery is looking for a dedicated
Used Equipment Technical Operations Support Specialist
to join our Used Equipment team in
Langley, British Columbia
. In this role, you will provide technical and operational support to Used Equipment preparation activities, ensuring cost-effective solutions and alignment with operational and financial objectives.
Essential Duties & Responsibilities
As the Used Equipment Technical Operations Support Specialist, your key responsibilities will include:
Reviewing Used Equipment inspections and preparation estimates to eliminate non-value-added costs
Providing technical input for unplanned work that arises during Used Equipment preparation
Acting as a technical liaison with shops to ensure information is provided to Sales Coordinators for deal updates as required
Driving gross profit by implementing creative and cost-effective solutions during equipment preparation
Providing assistance with large-scope preparation projects, including complex equipment tear-downs and setups
Working with Sales Coordinators to ensure purchase orders are provided directly to vendors when applicable
Maintaining a weekly planner and distributing updates to the Technical Operations Manager
Participating in weekly meetings with the Technical Operations Manager
Providing support related to post-sale technical issues
Completing additional duties or projects as required by the Operations Manager and Technical Operations Manager
Required Skills & Qualifications
The ideal candidate will possess the following skills, knowledge, and competencies:
5+ years of relevant technical experience within a dealership, manufacturing, automotive, or heavy equipment environment
Strong mechanical and technical aptitude
Proficiency with Microsoft Office 365
Experience with CRM systems (MS Dynamics considered an asset, with willingness to learn required)
Excellent written and verbal communication skills
Strong analytical, critical thinking, and problem-solving abilities
Ability to prioritize and execute tasks in a fast-paced environment
Exceptional customer service mindset and strong team orientation
Post-secondary education in a related field is an asset, but not required

The base pay range for this role is: $80,000 to $95,000 per year, depending on experience.
