Your Opportunity:

This Manager position, at WestView Health Centre in Stony Plain, is responsible for supporting the mission of the Alberta Health Services by ensuring the provision of exemplary resident care, education and research in an atmosphere that preserves the dignity and rights of the residents in Long Term Care and Hospice and their families. This is accomplished through the provision of excellent resident care, the delivery of resident and staff education, and the introduction of research initiatives while demonstrating the core values of the organization.

Description:

Reporting to the Site Director, the Manager has accountability for the Long Term Care and Hospice and is responsible for participating in strategic planning and identifying budget requirements (human, material and capital resources) to safely meet resident care needs. The incumbent is also responsible for the management of expenditures and variance analysis of an operational budget: establishing and maintain standards of practice; hiring and evaluation performances of professional and ancillary staff, creating and sustaining a healthy work environment including Workplace Health and Safety and Infection Prevention and Control. This position facilitates the implementation of changes to structure and processes in order of accomplish improved outcomes in resident\'s satisfaction, quality of care, and cost containment. The Manager establishes and maintains collaborative working relationships with the site Medical Dyad leadership, the Leadership Team, AHS Program teams, and community partners, to ensure Quality Care is provided.

Required Qualifications:

Baccalaureate degree in Nursing with a clinical focus is required. Previous Continuing Care experience. Active licensure in good standing with CRNA required.

Previous management or leadership experience preferred.
