About the role: The Underwriter is part of the Concierge Support team that focuses on the pre-funding support to Financeit\xe2\x80\x99s Concierge merchants, serving as their initial point of contact. They will provide an advanced level of support and develop robust long lasting relationships with the merchants on the Concierge program, personally supporting them through the loan application journey. The team strives for outstanding customer satisfaction through interactions, timeliness and quality of resolution for which each member of the team plays an integral part in achieving this success.

Working hours: Mon-Fri 9am-5:30pm, 11am-7:30pm,12:30-9pm / Sat/Sunday 10am-6pm

What you\xe2\x80\x99ll do:

  • Act as a Brand Ambassador for Financeit, delivering exceptional customer experience
  • Demonstrate genuine curiosity about Concierge merchants, helping them reach their financing needs
  • Respond to incoming merchant inquiries and escalations as required
  • Ensure we maintain industry leading customer service levels including decisioning exceptions
  • Execute effective communication on underwriting decisions back to merchants and sales associates
  • Manage and complete the loan adjudication process from beginning to end, and underwrite loans according to Financeit\xe2\x80\x99s lending policies while evaluating risk and ensuring the quality of loans
  • Document reasoning for all loan decisions
  • Identify loans for exceptions while ensuring proper procedures are followed for approval and documentation
  • Maintain knowledge of lending requirements, internal policies and procedures, and compliance and regulatory requirements
  • Navigate and use all available technology and maintain customer information in an organized fashion up to and including UAT.
  • Follow security and safeguarding procedures for the prevention of loss due to fraud, money laundering or defalcation
  • Understand risks and take appropriate actions, including all documentation, and any other requirements to maintain operational integrity
Requirements

What you\xe2\x80\x99ll need to succeed:
  • Strong understanding of personal credit lending practices with minimum 2 years practical experience OR 3+ years of Sales experience with some understanding of personal credit lending within the Financial Services industry
  • Experience in customer service & financial services industry
  • Related experience in working with multiple team environments
  • Experience with sales and relationship management is an asset
  • Attention to detail and the tenacity to make sure quality standards are high
  • Sound judgment and ability to maintain confidentiality in critical and sensitive information, records, and reports
  • Effective communication and great influencing skills
  • Fluency in French language is an asset
  • Availability to work in the following hours: Mon-Fri 9am-5:30pm, 11am-7:30pm,12:30-9pm / Sat/Sunday 10am-6pm
