What you'll accomplish with us





As an underwriter, you'll be at the core of our mission. Your main responsibilities will include:

Assess risk on individual life, critical illness, and disability insurance applications to establish fair, appropriate, and competitive selection Analyze medical and non-medical information to identify any potential risks or issues Use underwriting guidelines and procedures to make informed underwriting decisions Ensure accuracy and timeliness in completing underwriting tasks and processes Communicate with stakeholders to obtain additional information or clarify issues related to underwriting decisions

We're looking for someone who:

Recognized for strong analytical, negotiation, and problem-solving skills Is client-focused and adopts a holistic approach in the overall assessment of risk Holds College or university degree in health sciences or a related field Obtain or work toward obtaining the FLMI or LOMA designation Knowledge of underwriting principles acquired through a minimum of 2 years of underwriting experience in the areas of life insurance, critical illness, and disability Has intermediate knowledge of English, as the role requires analyzing information, reviewing reports and documentation, writing emails and communicating with unilingual English-speaking clients and external partners on a daily basis
