GameDay Insurance is a Managing General Agency focusing on insurance products for sport and recreation organizations and sport business across Canada. As the Underwriter, you will be responsible for evaluating new business submissions, managing an existing book of business while adhering to company service standards. This role involves a high degree of technical knowledge, exceptional carrier relationships, as well as a high level of professionalism and diplomacy.


How You Will Affect the Business

• Underwrite new business, endorsements and renewals in accordance to guidelines and authority for each insuring partner Facilitate the processing of renewals by working closely with broker partners and Underwriting.
• Assistant Within your level of authority, quote, negotiate, sell, and authorize the acceptance of new business, renewals, and endorsements to develop and retain profitable business according to the business plan established for the department.
• Review risks for acceptability, secure additional information as required and decide on appropriate course of action Recommend solution when requiring approval and referring to company underwriters.
• Maintain relationships with brokers by phone, email and other forms of communication.
• Provide support and suggestions to brokers in conjunction with other departments as necessary Report training and educational opportunities as experienced in day to day broker interaction and by attending tradeshows Render approval/decline decisions on incoming applications for new businesses consistent with internal and insurer policies Responsible for ensuring all files, forms and client details are updated in InsureVue

Education & Experience

• Secondary School Diploma required, College or University Degree strongly preferred.
• 2 years of Commercial P&C Underwriting experience desired.
• CIP, CAIB, CRM, or other relevant certifications/designations highly desired.
