Job Title: U-Haul Representative / Customer Service Associate

About the Role:

We are seeking a reliable and customer-focused individual to join our team as a

U-Haul Representative

. This position plays an important role in ensuring smooth day-to-day operations of our U-Haul services, as well as supporting Cold Shot customers. You will be responsible for assisting with rentals, maintaining inventory, and delivering excellent customer service.

Key Responsibilities:

Open and close the U-Haul store. Rent out U-Haul trucks and trailers, ensuring proper documentation. Park and position trucks in designated spots. Maintain U-Haul inventory and place orders for supplies (boxes, tape, mattress bags, etc.). Call customers regarding reservations and book rentals over the phone. Keep accurate cash reports and maintain transaction records. Assist with Cold Shot operations including: Calling "hold for pickup" freight customers. Creating orders and selling bus tickets. Interact with customers in a friendly, fast, and professional manner. Report all damages, updates, or changes related to U-Haul vehicles. Clean, inspect, and check fluid levels on rental equipment. Move and hook up U-Haul trucks and trailers. Use smartphone-based U-Scan technology to manage rentals and inventory. Answer customer questions and provide education on U-Haul products & services. Prepare invoices and process returned equipment. Maintain a safe, clean, and organized work environment.

What We're Looking For:

Strong attention to detail and organizational skills. Excellent communication and customer service abilities. Ability to work both independently and as part of a team. Comfortable with physical tasks such as moving and inspecting vehicles. Basic computer and smartphone skills (U-Scan technology will be used). Willingness to participate in ongoing training (online and hands-on). Positive attitude, enthusiasm, and commitment to providing high-quality service.

Schedule & Hours:

30-40 hours per week. Flexibility to work weekdays and weekends as needed.
Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $16.00-$18.00 per hour
