Job Description


Working in a fast-paced environment that is rapidly innovating and revolving around the robotics consultancy industry, the UAV Technician will diagnose, troubleshoot, and repair our aircrafts as well as develop and implement testing protocols. The UAV Technician is a skilled professional capable of in-depth trouble shooting and problem solving with an eye for detail and precision combined with efficiency. Key Responsibilities \xc2\xb7 Diagnose, maintain, troubleshoot and repair Unmanned Systems (Drones) \xc2\xb7 Build, calibrate, maintain, troubleshoot and repair electrical instruments or testing equipment \xc2\xb7 Assemble electrical and electronic systems according to provided data \xc2\xb7 Set up and operate test equipment to evaluate performance of developmental parts, assemblies, or systems under simulated operating conditions and record results \xc2\xb7 Modify electrical devices, parts, assemblies, and systems to correct functional deviations \xc2\xb7 Piece work assembly of components using hand tools \xc2\xb7 Soldering and assembly of PCB and wiring harnesses \xc2\xb7 Material picking for production assembly \xc2\xb7 Installation of software and firmware and electronic components \xc2\xb7 Painting and finishing of components \xc2\xb7 Operation of CNC machinery (on-site training provided) \xc2\xb7 Assist with inventory controls and management \xc2\xb7 Shop cleanup and organization \xc2\xb7 General tasks as needed Qualifications \xc2\xb7 Bachelor\xe2\x80\x99s Degree/Diploma or Certificate in technical disciplines preferred \xc2\xb7 1+ years of experience as an electronics repair or assembly technician \xc2\xb7 Experience in building and repairing drones \xc2\xb7 Excellent troubleshooting and diagnosis skills \xc2\xb7 Knowledge of electrical principles, using hand tools and measuring instruments \xc2\xb7 Basic to intermediate soldering skills \xc2\xb7 Transport Canada RPAS Advanced license an asset Skills and Competencies \xc2\xb7 Highly motivated individual who works independently, but is also team oriented \xc2\xb7 Good ability to shift focus between changing priorities \xc2\xb7 Strong initiative and ability to manage time and projects independently \xc2\xb7 Attention to detail and accuracy are required \xc2\xb7 Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills \xc2\xb7 Attention to detail and accuracy are required \xc2\xb7 Excellent mechanical skills \xc2\xb7 Ability to follow instructions \xc2\xb7 Ability to use power and hand tools \xc2\xb7 Ability to read and comprehend service and repair manuals \xc2\xb7 Proficiency with Microsoft Suite Physical Requirements \xc2\xb7 Ability to bend, stretch, kneel and squat to perform repairs and inspections \xc2\xb7 Ability to operate machinery, power tools, motor vehicles or heavy equipment \xc2\xb7 Ability to regularly move up to 50 lbs in all directions (move and carry equipment) About Us: Candrone is North America\'s largest and fastest growing robotics consultancy specializing in UAV (Unmanned Aerial Vehicle) solutions for Enterprise drone sales, consulting, rentals & training since 2009.
