Scott Builders Inc. is looking for a highly focused, organized, and motivated Completions & Turnover Coordinator for our industrial construction project in Yorkton, SK. This 6-9-month term, field-based role, is critical for ensuring that all mechanical, electrical, piping, and instrumentation systems are built to specification, tested, validated, and formally handed over to the client or commissioning team.

Job Summary:

The coordinator will oversee mechanical completion, documentation, and system turnover processes, requiring strong skills in coordination, document control, stakeholder communication, and database management to ensure a seamless and compliant turnover. Some office administration and data entry will also be required as directed by project leadership. Projects coordinated from our Red Deer branch are located in Central & Northern Alberta and Saskatchewan.

Responsibilities

Relying on their previous industrial construction experience, the Completions & Turnover Coordinator will be responsible for:

Overseeing and coordinating the turnover of completed systems, ensuring all work packages meet safety, quality, and contractual requirements. Manage the turnover database (Procore, SharePoint, Physical Copies), ensuring accurate Project Index filing and real-time data integrity. Develop and track system walkdowns, generate punch lists, and lead resolution efforts with construction teams. Prepare and assemble System Turnover Packages (STP's) and Compilation Manuals containing ITRs, hydrotest records, as-built drawings, and manufacturer data reports. Interface with project stakeholders--engineering, quality, construction, commissioning--to prioritize system completion and align turnover sequencing with project milestones. Support Management of Change (MOC) by incorporating RFIs and Field Change Notices into turnover records and validating changes across documentation.
We're seeking a candidate who can effectively guide and coordinate all field employees, contractors, and trades involved in the turnover process.

Qualifications

To qualify for this position, successful applicants will possess the following requirements:

Proven experience in managing completions and turnover for demanding industrial construction projects. Strong working knowledge of industrial standards and completion workflows, including preservation, testing, and mechanical acceptance. Proficient in interpreting P&IDs, isometric drawings, and fabrication spool sheets. Exceptional communication, coordination, and time management skills. Strong organizational discipline to manage large volumes of documents and track quality milestones. Working knowledge of Procore, Microsoft office and applicable software Ability to work collaboratively in a team environment Committed to providing exceptional customer service both internally and externally Flexibility in working long hours and periods of overtime This is a site-based position and requires working outdoors in various weather conditions Must have and maintain a valid provincial drivers license Must be eligible to work in Canada without sponsorship
