Trust Accounting Clerk
Location: Vancouver, BC
Salary: $60,000-$85,000 (commensurate with experience)

About Our Client
Our client is a well-established law firm providing a full range of business, litigation, and dispute resolution services to clients across Canada and internationally. They combine the sophisticated practice of a larger firm with the collegial, supportive culture of a smaller office.
They are currently seeking a Trust Accounting Clerk with solid experience to join their team. This position reports to the Compliance Officer and Director of Finance. The ideal candidate is comfortable working both independently and collaboratively in a professional services environment.
Responsibilities

  • Prepare cheques and wires and obtain required authorization signatures
  • Make deposits and arrange bank wires and cheque payments, including all associated trust administration documentation
  • Post trust wire fees and trust administration fees
  • Process daily trust transfers for invoice payments
  • Post and reconcile incoming trust deposits, including credit card payments
  • Assist with other trust accounting tasks and related duties as required
Qualifications
  • Minimum 2 years of experience in an administrative, accounting, or similar role (experience in a professional services or law firm environment is an asset)
  • Familiarity with Law Society trust accounting rules (BC and/or Ontario) and trust accounting principles is an asset
  • Experience with legal or professional services software (e.g., document management systems, practice management or accounting systems) is an asset
  • Strong ability to prioritize work and meet tight deadlines
  • Demonstrates good judgment, professionalism, and discretion
  • Proven ability to solve problems and manage changing or conflicting priorities
  • Highly organized, detail-oriented, and efficient in a fast-paced environment
Compensation & Benefits
