New Building Components facility seeking a intermediate level Truss Designer. The successful candidate will be highly motivated and energetic with excellent communication and organization skills and enjoy working in a fast paced and friendly environment.Position:-Read, interpret and understand blueprints and the building codes relating to residential, commercial or farm projects. -Ability to examine drawings and blueprints for intent, conformity and error.-Design trusses, beams and column components ensuring correct loading hasbeen applied according to customer requirements, blueprints, and engineered specifications.-Produce roof layouts and load development using Alpine and CAD software programs.-Generate quotes quickly, efficiently and accurately for customers.-The skill to deal with a variety of customers courteously and effectively having an exceptional customer service attitude in order to maintain excellent client interaction.-Communication with engineers, architects and contractors regarding project details prior to and during construction.Maintain positive working relationships with co-workers.-Demonstrated skills working in a team environment.-Willing to learn and contribute in whateverway possible.-Proven ability at meeting deadlines.Attend and participate in all Company sponsored training programs as required.Qualifications:-Technical diploma or engineering degree preferred but not necessary.-Minimum 3 years work experience in engineered wood truss design.-Comprehensive knowledge of the building and construction process as it relates to single family, multi-family and light commercial wood framed construction. -Understanding of local building codes and construction practices.Job Type: Full-timeSalary: $60,000.00-$75,000.00 per yearBenefits:
