Overview

We are seeking a talented and creative Designer to join our dynamic team. The ideal candidate will possess a strong background in design principles and be proficient in various design software. This role requires a blend of technical skills, creativity, and project management capabilities to deliver exceptional design solutions for both residential and commercial construction projects. The Designer will collaborate with clients, engineers, and other stakeholders to create detailed plans and presentations that meet project specifications.

Duties

Develop innovative design concepts using software such as AutoCAD, Revit, SketchUp, and Adobe Creative Suite. Create detailed schematics and blueprints for residential and commercial construction projects. Collaborate with project managers to ensure designs align with project timelines and budgets. Conduct analysis of project requirements and constraints to inform design decisions. Prepare presentations for clients using Microsoft PowerPoint and other visual aids. Communicate effectively with clients to understand their needs and provide exceptional customer service throughout the design process. Manage multiple projects simultaneously while maintaining high-quality standards. Utilize project management tools like Microsoft Project to track progress and deadlines. Ensure compliance with industry standards and regulations in all design work.

Qualifications

Proficiency in design software including AutoCAD, Revit, SketchUp, Adobe Photoshop, Adobe Illustrator, MicroStation, Bluebeam, and Civil 3D. Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage time effectively across multiple projects. Excellent communication skills in English; bilingual in French is a plus. Solid understanding of residential and commercial construction processes. Strong drafting skills with attention to detail in blueprint reading. Ability to analyze complex problems and develop effective solutions. Familiarity with Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, Outlook) for documentation and communication purposes. Leadership qualities that foster collaboration within a team environment. A background in manufacturing or related fields is advantageous.
