Position Overview:



The

Production Truss Builder

position is for an individual who enjoys working in a fast past environment. This is an entry-level position within our Production facility with move for future growth. As a Production Truss Builder, you will work closely with our Lead Hands and crew assembling trusses as per engineered design, along with a variety of general labor tasks. We will ensure you are trained and certified to do each job safely and provide you with the tools to do as. Two things we can guarantee: you won't be bored, and you will be part of a great team that works hard and does great work.

Responsibilities include but not limited to:



Adhere to all safe work procedures and regulations

set forth by Kamloops Truss LTD. and WorkSafe BC to ensure a safe working environment.

Safely and efficiently assemble trusses

in accordance with WWTABC quality control standards, ensuring precision and accuracy in the construction process.

Set up truss jigs and adjust settings

using Virtek and SL laser systems to facilitate precise assembly and alignment.

Pick connector plates

as required for truss production, ensuring the correct components are selected for each truss design.

Accurately place truss members and plates

in position to ensure quality control, following blueprint specifications and guidelines to maintain structural integrity.

Assist in the maintenance and general cleanliness

of work areas within Kamloops Truss, contributing to a safe and organized workspace.

Accept cross-training

and provide coverage for other positions within the production plant as required, demonstrating flexibility to support operational needs.

Qualifications:



High school diploma or equivalent preferred. Prior experience in a manufacturing or industrial environment is advantageous. Ability to operate machinery and equipment safely and effectively. Strong attention to detail and ability to perform repetitive tasks accurately. Physical stamina and ability to lift heavy objects and work in various weather conditions. Willingness to follow instructions and work as part of a team. Commitment to safety protocols and procedures. Dependable, punctual, and responsible. Knowledge and understanding of job site safety. Competent around tools, wood components, and construction/manufacturing. Effective communication skills and ability to work collaboratively in a team environment.

Job Type

: Full-Time.

Salary:

$20.00-$25.00/hr. based on a combination of skills and experience.

Schedule:

8-hour shift - Monday - Friday, no weekends, overtime may be required.
