Why we have this role:







In this role, you will be responsible for loading both bulk and bagged feed products onto Grand Valley Fortifiers delivery trucks. The ideal candidate will possess strong physical stamina to meet the demands of this physically intensive position. In addition to physical capability, we are looking for someone with a solid track record of performance and reliability, excellent time management and organizational skills, and a sharp eye for detail to ensure tasks are completed with a high degree of accuracy.




Working with us:







This is a permanent, full-time position operating out of our production facility at 486 Main Street, Cambridge, Ontario. This is a consistent night shift position with the regular working hours being Sunday to Friday, 8:00 pm to 4:30 am. This position starts at a competitive wage of $25.00 per hour and you will receive at least 3 weeks vacation to start.




What you'll do:






Accurately and neatly load bulk and bagged materials onto trucks following established protocols. Schedule and sequence truck loading to ensure timely, complete, and correct orders. Verify trucks are clean prior to loading and that all products are labeled properly. Follow all HACCP, CFIA, and GVF procedures, including FIFO for stock products. Report safety concerns, errors, and accidents immediately to the Plant Manager. Maintain a clean, safe, and organized work environment, including cleaning the scale and removing waste after each shift. Share workload equally and promote teamwork among loading staff. Use proper PPE and follow safe work practices at all times. Attend relevant meetings (e.g., delivery, safety, training, town halls). Manage time effectively and support other plant areas as needed. Be flexible with overtime and contribute ideas to reduce errors.



Your background includes:






High school diploma or equivalent Previous manufacturing experience is an asset Forklift operation experience required Ability to work night shifts Strong physical stamina with the ability to lift and move 25 kg bags Proven track record of strong work performance and reliability Excellent attendance, time management, and organizational skills Strong attention to detail and commitment to accuracy Maintains a clean and organized work environment Self-motivated with a strong sense of drive and enthusiasm
