Job Summary

We are seeking a dedicated and skilled Truck Driver to join our logistics team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for transporting freight safely and efficiently while adhering to all traffic regulations and company policies. This role requires a strong commitment to safety, reliability, and customer service.

Duties

Operate commercial trucks to transport freight to designated locations. Conduct pre-trip and post-trip inspections of vehicles to ensure safety and compliance. Load and unload cargo, utilizing forklifts and other heavy equipment as necessary. Maintain accurate records of deliveries, including logs of hours worked, mileage, and fuel consumption. Communicate effectively with dispatchers and customers regarding delivery schedules and any issues that may arise. Perform routine maintenance and minor repairs on vehicles to ensure optimal performance. Adhere to all local, state, and federal regulations regarding transportation.

Qualifications

Valid Commercial Driver's License (CDL) is required. Proven experience in commercial driving with a strong understanding of freight transportation. Familiarity with heavy equipment operation is preferred. Experience operating forklifts is a plus. Basic knowledge of automotive repair is beneficial for maintaining vehicle performance. Strong attention to detail and commitment to safety practices. Excellent communication skills and ability to work independently or as part of a team.
