Overview

We are seeking a dedicated and skilled Truck Driver to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for transporting goods safely and efficiently while adhering to all traffic laws and regulations. This role requires a strong commitment to safety, excellent driving skills, and the ability to operate heavy equipment when necessary.

Responsibilities

Safely operate trucks to transport freight to designated locations. Conduct pre-trip and post-trip inspections of the vehicle to ensure safety and compliance. Load and unload cargo, ensuring proper handling of materials. Maintain accurate records of deliveries, including logs of hours worked and vehicle maintenance. Communicate effectively with dispatchers and other team members regarding delivery schedules and any potential issues. Operate heavy equipment as needed, including forklifts for loading/unloading freight. Perform basic automotive repairs and maintenance on the truck when required. Follow all company policies and procedures related to transportation and safety.

Qualifications

Valid commercial driver's license (CDL) is required. Experience in commercial driving with a clean driving record. Knowledge of heavy equipment operation, particularly forklifts. Familiarity with freight handling and transportation logistics. Strong problem-solving skills with the ability to perform basic automotive repairs. Excellent time management skills and the ability to work independently. Ability to lift heavy loads and perform physical tasks associated with loading/unloading freight.
