Job Description

In December 2011, a new state-of-the-art natural gas fill station began operations near Baie Verte, NB. This site will be used to fill, and transport compressed natural gas (CNG) via trailers to and from Prince Edward Island. This operation will help to reduce greenhouse gases by 21,000 tones a year, the equivalent of taking 4,200 cars a year off the road.Reporting to the Operations Team Leader, the successful candidate will be a self-starter with a customer focus, strong work ethic, and \xe2\x80\x9cCan Do\xe2\x80\x9d attitude.Successful candidate will possess the following qualifications:

• High School diploma or equivalent.
• Must hold a class one (1) Driver\xe2\x80\x99s license.
• Five (5) years of related experience, preferably in hauling Dangerous Goods or tanker style trailers;
• Working knowledge of Microsoft Office programs, particularly Outlook.
• Ability to work independently and with a partner.
• Excellent attention to detail and ability to troubleshoot equipment issues.
• Ability to react quickly to changing requirements and/or unanticipated issues;
• Willing to work a twelve (12) hour rotating shift work schedule: two (2) days and two (2) nights consecutively, followed by four (4) days off;
• Familiarity with Transportation of Dangerous Goods regulations is required;
• Knowledge of compressed gas and surrounding safety requirements is considered an asset.

Key Responsibilities:

• Operate, perform inspections, and maintain housekeeping standards at the Compression and Decanting Stations
• Haul compressed natural gas trailers between New Brunswick and Prince Edward Island;
• Perform all duties and responsibilities safely and promote safety to other employees and contractors;
• Maintain company assets to Irving standards;
• Other duties as required.
