Overview

We are seeking a dedicated and skilled Truck Driver to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for transporting goods safely and efficiently across various routes while adhering to all safety regulations and company policies. This role requires a strong commitment to customer service and the ability to manage time effectively to meet delivery schedules.

Duties

Operate and drive trucks to transport freight to designated locations. Conduct pre-trip, en-route, and post-trip inspections of the vehicle. Ensure that cargo is secured properly to prevent damage during transit. Maintain accurate records of deliveries, including mileage, fuel use, and any incidents that occur on the road. Communicate with dispatchers regarding delivery schedules and any potential delays. Adhere to all traffic laws and regulations while driving. Assist in loading and unloading freight as necessary. Perform basic maintenance on vehicles, including checks for fluid levels and tire pressure.

Skills

Proven experience in commercial driving with a valid commercial driver's license (CDL). Proficiency in operating heavy equipment, ensuring safety and efficiency during transport. Basic automotive repair skills for troubleshooting minor vehicle issues on the road. Knowledge of freight handling procedures and best practices for cargo safety. Experience operating forklifts is a plus, enhancing efficiency in loading and unloading processes. Strong communication skills for effective interaction with team members and clients. Excellent time management skills to ensure timely deliveries.

Pay: $26.00-$28.00 per hour
