Starting Pay Rate: $31.29/hr, depending on experience
General Description:
As a Driver, you will be responsible to pick-up and deliver tires and materials in a safe, efficient and professional manner. You will provide operation of tractor-trailer units for local, shuttle movement of rubber, tires, raw materials and equipment between the manufacturing facility and the adjacent warehouse. You will be assigned to a rotating 8 hour shift (days, nights, afternoons) to provide Monday to Friday driving, shipping and receiving services to support Goodyear's manufacturing processes.
Responsibilities will include, but not be limited to:
All aspects of pick-up and delivery of tires, rubber and other loads between Goodyear facilities, and additional destinations/customers as required.
Assist with loading and unloading commercial tires, casings, wheels, mounted wheel assemblies and related products while following all safety rules and procedures. Proficiency with forklift/personal industrial vehicles is an asset.
Maintain customer relationships including building and maintaining customer satisfaction.
Responsible for documentation completion with delivery.
Keep all documents and maintenance records up to date on equipment assigned.
Perform any additional duties as assigned by management.
Perform a variety of manual tasks for extended periods of time, which may include light and moderate lifting, standing, bending, and squatting.
Basic Requirements:
6+ months' relevant driving experience
High school diploma
Must have a valid Class 1 driver's license for the type of vehicle required for the position and be able to meet commercial driver qualification requirements. Driver's abstract, with demonstrated safe and compliant work history, is required.
Must be at least 18 years of age.
No relocation is being offered for this position
Must be legally authorized to work in Canada without company sponsorship now or in the future
