Job Description
G&R Kelly Enterprises Ltd. has been providing quality services in the Halifax area and throughout Nova Scotia for 50 years.
We are looking for a licensed truck driver with at least two years experience hauling equipment for a construction company. The ideal candidate is a go getter that likes working outside in a team atmosphere.
Truck Driver:
Happy working in a team environment and do occasional labor work.
Must be willing to work flexible hours.
Able to work overtime, nights, and weekends when needed.
Transport materials to and from site.
Transport equipment to construction sites.
Deliver materials & equipment on time.
Ensure that the truck is clean and in good condition by doing daily checks.
Perform pre-trip, en route, and post-trip inspections.
Inspect vehicles for mechanical items and safety issues and perform preventative maintenance.
Comply with truck driving rules and regulations (size, weight, route designations, parking and break periods) as well as with company policies and procedures.
Requirements:
Class 1 or 3 Driver's License
Air Brake Endorsement
Clean driving abstract
Drive Automatic & Manual Transmission Vehicle
Extensive knowledge of applicable truck driving rules and regulations
Adaptability and foresight to handle unexpected situations (traffic, weather conditions etc.)
Experience:
Driving: 2 year (Required)
Hands on experience in hauling a float
Snow removal experience is an asset
Job Types: Full-time, Permanent
Pay: $23.00-$25.00 per hour
