Position Overview



Azimuth Special Projects Ltd. is seeking a dependable and safety-focused

Truck Driver - Equipment Operator

to support construction projects through the transportation and operation of heavy equipment and materials. This dual-role position requires proficiency in both driving (Class 1) and on-site equipment handling. You will play a key role in ensuring the efficiency and productivity of our job sites, while upholding Azimuth's values of

Key Responsibilities Truck Driving



Operate Class 1 vehicles to transport equipment and materials between sites. Ensure safe load securement and compliance with NSC and DOT regulations. Complete daily vehicle inspections and maintain accurate driver logs. Maintain cleanliness, fueling, and basic upkeep of company trucks.

Equipment Operation



Site Equipment Operation Experience Support site crews with loading/unloading, material staging, and basic site prep. Conduct pre-use equipment checks and report issues to the Construction Manager.

Collaboration & Support



Communicate clearly with superintendents, site leads, and delivery contacts. Assist with general labor tasks during downtime or weather delays. Represent Azimuth professionally on and off site.

Required Qualifications



Valid Class 1 Driver's License with

clean abstract. (must provide copy or abstract with resume)

5 years of experience in commercial or construction driving. Proven equipment operation experience in a construction setting. Knowledge of load securement and transportation safety. Physically fit and able to work outdoors in all weather conditions.

Preferred Credentials



CSTS, First Aid, Ground Disturbance, or other safety certifications. Mechanical aptitude for basic troubleshooting. Experience with modular, precast, or heavy civil construction.

Working Conditions



Based on project site locations with regular travel between sites. Physical labor required: lifting, chaining, climbing equipment. Rotating hours; occasional overtime and early starts required.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $30.00-$35.00 per hour
