We are currently hiring a reliable and experienced Truck Driver (Class 1). This is mainly a short-haul position however occasional long-haul trips will be required. The position will be based in Corner Brook, NL. Job Responsibilities:
- Safely operate truck and trailer to transport building materials to our stores and other locations in a safe, timely and efficient manner
- Strictly adhere to all traffic laws and regulations
- Ensure cargo is safe and secure
- Assist in unloading trailers when transporting product to stores
- Perform routine pre-trip and post-trip inspections on truck and trailer to ensure they are in proper working condition
- Ensure truck and trailer are well maintained
- Promptly inform manager of any necessary repairs/maintenance to truck or trailer
- Complete necessary documentation such as Electronic Reporting Log
- Comply with all company policies and procedures
- Valid Class 1 Driver\xe2\x80\x99s License
- Minimum of 5 years verifiable commercial driving experience
- Current Driver\xe2\x80\x99s Abstract with a \xe2\x80\x9cclean\xe2\x80\x9d driving record
- Experience driving long distances and ability to remain alert over extended periods
- Completion of Power Line Hazards and WHIMS would be considered an asset
- Excellent time management skills and a professional attitude
- Monday to Friday. Occasional weekends as required during long-haul trips.

- Class 01 Driving: 5 years (required)
- Class 1 Licence (required)
