We take pride in our people, customers and business and foster a great place to work!We are currently hiring a reliable and experienced Truck Driver (Class 1). This is mainly a short-haul position however occasional long-haul trips will be required. The position will be based in Corner Brook, NL.Job Responsibilities:

• Safely operate truck and trailer to transport building materials to our stores and other locations in a safe, timely and efficient manner
• Strictly adhere to all traffic laws and regulations
• Ensure cargo is safe and secure
• Assist in unloading trailers when transporting product to stores
• Perform routine pre-trip and post-trip inspections on truck and trailer to ensure they are in proper working condition
• Ensure truck and trailer are well maintained
• Promptly inform manager of any necessary repairs/maintenance to truck or trailer
• Complete necessary documentation such as Electronic Reporting Log
• Comply with all company policies and procedures

Requirements:

• Valid Class 1 Drivers License
• Minimum of 5 years verifiable commercial driving experience
• Current Drivers Abstract with a clean driving record
• Experience driving long distances and ability to remain alert over extended periods
• Completion of Power Line Hazards and WHIMS would be considered an asset
• Excellent time management skills and a professional attitude

Schedule:

• Monday to Friday. Occasional weekends as required during long-haul trips.
