Oakcreek Golf & Turf LP ("Oakcreek") is a leading Western Canadian OEM distributor of commercial turf maintenance and other equipment including Toro, Yamaha, Pisten Bully, BOSS Plow, Ventrac, etc.

We are in search of a CLASS 1 TRUCK DRIVER able to transport equipment from Calgary through to our primary routes across western Canada (Alberta, British Columbia and Saskatchewan).

This position would require the following qualifications and skills:

• Ability to operate a standard-transmission Peterbilt or Kenworth Truck to transport goods safely and efficiently.
• A clean 10-year driver's abstract.
• Government of Alberta Medical Examination for Motor Vehicle Operators to prove you meet the medical requirements for license classification 1 - Tractor/Trailer .
• Ability to haul maximum 53 foot trailer.
• Maneuver heavy equipment (up to 15,000 kgs) into loading and unloading positions either by driving equipment on/into trailers/decks or operating forklift or crane to load/unload.
• Mechanically inclined. Responsible for pre-trip maintenance and minor road-side repairs.
• Perform daily and pre-operational safety inspections on equipment, including trailer, freight and vehicle.
• Ability to fill out electronic logs.
• Previous winter and mountain driving experience is a must.
• Communicate well with colleagues and clients.
• Collaborate with team members to optimize delivery schedules and routes.
• Ability to be away from your residence for one week or more.
• Some night driving required.
• Non-smoking.
• No passengers, including pets.
• Valid US Passport.
• Forklift operation is a requirement of this position.
• Perform heavy lifting. Ability to lift 50 pounds minimum.
• Perform other duties as requested by management to ensure a minimum 40 hour work week.

Job Types: Full-time, Permanent

Pay: $28.00-$31.00 per hour

Experience:

• Class 1 Professional Truck Driving: 2 years (required)
• Forklift: 2 years (required)
• winter and mountain driving: 2 years (required)
