We are currently seeking an ambitious, multi-faceted, well-rounded, organized individual for the position of Dispatcher at our Edson location.

The Rig Moving Dispatcher is responsible for planning, coordinating, and dispatching trucks, equipment, and crews for rig moves across Alberta and surrounding areas. This role requires quick decision-making, excellent communication, and the ability to manage multiple priorities in real time.

Key Responsibilities

Coordinate daily rig moving schedules, assigning trucks, trailers, and crews efficiently. Monitor job progress and adapt plans quickly to meet operational demands. Communicate clearly with drivers, swampers, customers, and management. Ensure compliance with all safety protocols and transportation regulations. Maintain accurate records of dispatch activities, equipment use, and hours of service. Respond promptly to on-call requests and urgent operational needs. Problem-solve on the spot to keep operations running smoothly.

Qualifications

Mandatory

: Previous dispatch experience in trucking, oilfield, or related heavy hauling industries. Knowledge of rig moving operations is an asset. Strong multitasking and organizational skills in a high-pressure environment. Clear, professional communication skills--both verbal and written. Proficiency in dispatch software and MS Office Suite. Ability to work flexible hours, including evenings, weekends, and on-call rotations. Strong knowledge of Alberta's road network, HOS regulations, and oilfield safety standards.

This is a fast-paced position, which could have overtime and weekend work as required. A person in this position can expect to answer upwards of 50 calls a day.

Minimum of 3 years of Oilfield Dispatch experience in the trucking industry is required

Managing and orchestrating every aspect of heavy haul moves, insure third parties are coordinated with no gaps, find synergies between various moves, act as a central point of contact/communication between all parties involved and keep the client fully informed of status.

Pay: $80,000.00-$100,000.00 per year
