Job Summary

We are seeking a detail-oriented and proactive Dispatcher to join our team. The ideal candidate will play a crucial role in coordinating transportation logistics, ensuring timely and efficient movement of freight. This position requires strong communication skills, proficiency in transportation management systems, and the ability to handle multiple tasks simultaneously in a fast-paced environment.

Responsibilities

Coordinate and schedule shipments, ensuring timely delivery of freight. Utilize transportation management systems to track shipments and manage logistics. Communicate effectively with drivers, clients, and vendors to provide updates and resolve issues. Perform data entry tasks related to shipping and receiving operations. Analyze shipping data to optimize routes and improve efficiency. Maintain accurate records of all shipments, including documentation for compliance. Handle multi-line phone systems and provide excellent phone etiquette when interacting with customers. Collaborate with supply chain teams and third-party logistics (3PL) providers to streamline operations. Utilize software such as AS400 and SyteLine for inventory management and reporting.

Requirements

Proven experience in dispatching or logistics coordination preferred. Familiarity with transportation management systems and supply chain processes. Strong analysis skills with the ability to interpret data effectively. Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written. Proficient typing skills for accurate data entry. Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment. Knowledge of freight operations, shipping, and receiving procedures is a plus. Experience with multi-line phone systems is desirable.
