We are seeking a dynamic and highly organized Truck Dispatcher to join our logistics team. In this vital role, you will coordinate the movement of freight and manage transportation operations to ensure timely deliveries and optimal fleet utilization. Responsibilities



Coordinate daily dispatching activities for freight shipments, ensuring accurate routing and scheduling using transportation management systems such as Oracle Transportation Management and SyteLine. Utilize GPS and GIS technologies to monitor vehicle locations, optimize routes, and improve delivery times. Communicate effectively with drivers, carriers, warehouse teams, and clients via multi-line phone systems while maintaining professional phone etiquette. Enter data accurately into transportation management systems, including shipping details, delivery statuses, and fleet information. Oversee shipping & receiving processes, ensuring compliance with safety standards and company policies. Manage freight documentation, including manifests, bills of lading, and shipping orders with precision. Support fleet management activities by tracking vehicle maintenance schedules and reporting issues promptly. Analyze transportation data to identify opportunities for process improvements in logistics and supply chain operations. Collaborate with third-party logistics providers (3PL) to coordinate freight movements efficiently. Assist in transportation planning by evaluating routes using GPS data and GIS tools to reduce costs and improve service levels. Maintain accurate records within AS400 and other enterprise resource planning (ERP) systems for seamless data entry and reporting.

Qualifications



Proven experience in dispatching within a transportation or logistics environment; familiarity with freight operations is highly desirable. Strong knowledge of transportation management systems such as Oracle Transportation Management or SyteLine. Proficiency in using GPS, GIS mapping tools, and multi-line phone systems for effective communication and route optimization. Excellent analysis skills to interpret transportation data and recommend improvements. Solid understanding of shipping & receiving procedures along with fleet management practices. Exceptional communication skills coupled with professional phone etiquette to liaise confidently with drivers, clients, and internal teams. Ability to perform precise data entry tasks efficiently using systems like AS400 or similar ERP platforms. Familiarity with 3PL operations, logistics coordination, and supply chain principles is a plus. Strong typing skills for quick data entry alongside multitasking capabilities on busy multi-line phone systems. Pay: $40,389.90-$74,421.40 per year
