We are currently looking for a Heavy Duty Technician to join our team. The ideal candidate is reliable, highly self-motivated, hardworking and works independently.

Hours of work are Monday-Friday from 7:30 AM to 4:30 PM.

This role requires proficiency in using power tools and industrial equipment, as well as the ability to perform heavy lifting and operate heavy equipment.

Duties and responsibilities will include:

Regular service and maintenance of heavy equipment Diagnosing mechanical/electrical/chassis issues and performing necessary repairs Perform necessary adjustments in equipment to ensure safe and efficient operations and prepare required safety documentation Completion of documentation to record repairs done to equipment Coordinate with other maintenance staff to determine priorities for equipment repair Make recommendations regarding repairs and methods for improvement Perform other duties as required

What are we looking for:

Ability to troubleshoot and inspect equipment to detect faults and malfunctions Proficiency in using diagnostic tools and equipment (set of basic hand tools required) Ability to read and interpret technical manuals and schematics Experience in preventative maintenance including electrical, interior, air brake, tire, and body maintenance Familiar with the latest vehicle diagnostic equipment Organizational, interpersonal, and communication skills Strong work ethic, to work independently and within team Valid Class 5 driver's license Valid Class 3 (or higher) driver's license considered an asset
