Job Summary:

We are seeking a motivated individual to join our team. This role involves performing a variety of tree care tasks operations. The ideal candidate will have experience in tree work or forestry or a related industry but this would be considered an asset not a requirement.

Key Responsibilities:

Tree Work:

Assist teams with FireSmart projects in the foothills and Canmore Use appropriate tools and equipment, including chainsaws, chippers, and small equipment. Identify and manage potential hazards related to tree work. Ensure all work sites are left clean and safe, following proper disposal procedures for debris. Adhere to safety regulations and best practices to minimize risk of injury or property damage. Communicate effectively with other team members to maintain a safe work environment and complete projects on time.

Qualifications:

High school diploma or equivalent; relevant certifications or training is a plus. Experience in tree work, including pruning, removal, and safety practices. Strong knowledge of safe working practices. Ability to operate and maintain specialized tools and machinery. Excellent physical stamina and strength to handle manual labor tasks. Good communication skills and the ability to work well with clients and team members. Valid driver's license with a clean driving record. Ability to work flexible hours, occasional weekends may be required.

Physical Requirements:

Ability to lift heavy objects and work in varying weather conditions. Capability to perform physically demanding tasks, including climbing, lifting, and operating machinery.
