The Opportunity



The

Treaty Transition Manager

plays a key role in supporting the Nation's shift to self- government under the K'omoks Treaty. This position bridges administrative departments with the Treaty Team, coordinates change management, leads internal engagement, and ensures timely updates for leadership and the community. You will help shape and implement the transition roadmap, ensuring departments are prepared for the Effective Date and that all initiatives stay aligned with treaty goals.

What You'll Do



Support the KFN Treaty Transition Work Plan and serve as liaison between admin staff and the Treaty Team Coordinate across KFN departments (Administration, Intergovernmental Relations, Economic Development, etc.) Lead internal communications and community engagement with the KFN Communications team Facilitate Change Management processes within KFN government departments Provide regular updates to Council, Administration, and community on treaty milestones Track committee and working group involvement in the Treaty Transition process Support invoice, contract, and legal tracking for Treaty-related services Assist with budget tracking and record keeping of funding streams related to the Treaty Transition

What You Bring



Knowledge of self-government transitions and treaty implementation Understanding of UNDRIP, section 35 rights, and the K'omoks Treaty Experience facilitating change management in organizational settings Strong project management, communication, and documentation skills Ability to build effective relationships across departments and with Indigenous communities Pro?ciency in budgeting, ?nancial tracking, and digital tools Bachelor's degree in project management, change management, Indigenous governance, business administration, or related ?eld 3-5 years' experience in project management or equivalent role Experience working in public sector or Indigenous government settings Understanding of Indigenous governance, treaty processes, and self-government frameworks

Pay: $77,075.00-$98,369.00 per year
