- This role is in-person at North Campus Edmonton.


Reporting to the Patient Services & Systems Supervisor, the Treatment Coordinator - GPR, acts as the first point of contact for all patients for the full scope of the patient experience; starting from the initial inquiry/booking to following up on additional patient needs.

With 21 departments, multiple research institutes and centres, and a focus on excellence in education, research, and clinical care, the faculty trains outstanding medical and dental professionals and drives global health innovation in collaboration with partners across sectors.Assign and schedule patients for all GPR residents and Registered Dental Hygienist Coordinates internal referrals to specialty programs and follows up on patient return Contacts patients to discuss treatment Documents all patient communication in contact notes Receives correspondence and radiographs from private practice and enters into patient chart Initiates and schedules recall appointments Receives all resident booking requests Ensures treatment is approved and the treatment status is correct Responsible for managing the booking schedule for efficiency Books follow up appointment(s) to ensure maximum clinic utilization Ensures care is timely and is proceeding efficiently and effectively Minimum high school diploma Minimum 2 years of relevant experience in a fast-paced Dental Office Experience with processing a large volume of patient traffic and phone calls Expertise using an electronic health record system Experience with POS devices, processing payments and completing deposits Ability to critically analyze all aspects of the patient record and identify any required changes Accurate data entry skills; strong attention to detail Ability to multi-task in a fast-paced and diverse work environment that is dynamic and constantly changing Excellent communication skills (listening, verbal, and written) and interpersonal skills Well-developed organizational skills with the ability to meet deadlines and prioritize activities Proficiency using information technology including MS Office applications and Google Suite
