Job Requirements

The Treasury Stress Testing Manager is responsible for stress testing execution, reporting and ad-hoc analysis of assigned portfolio, to deliver the results for Enterprise-Wide Stress Testing (EWST) and Macro Stress Test (MST).

The role will run stress testing execution, make changes to enhance the forecast methodology, report and analyze the stress testing results.

This role is an excellent opportunity to use and further develop knowledges TBSM's funds transfer pricing forecast and methodology.

Key responsibilities include:

  • Perform periodic stress testing forecast on assigned portfolio
  • Report and analyze Canadian NII results.
  • Analyze the results, explain the cycle-over-cycle changes and drivers.
  • Work with cross-border technologies to enhance the stress testing forecast methodology and business logic.
  • Maintain up-to-date documentation on execution steps, business logic, data definition, and forecast assumptions.
  • Conduct or assist ad-hoc analysis for senior management to identify results drivers.
  • Participate in Enterprise stress testing projects, prepare business requirements, work with US Technology Partners and TBSM CCAR Technology on results testing.
  • Act as an owner or lead of small-scale cross-team stress testing enhancement projects
  • Promote a positive work environment that encourages productivity, teamwork, and quality analysis.
  • Maintain strong business relationship during day-to-day interaction with LOB, Market Risk Measurement team, Modeling, and CCAR Aggregation Team.

CTO Forecast Methodologies is part of CTO Corporate Data & Analytics, responsible for central ownership and analysis of the balance sheet and income Statement Forecast Methodologies for CCAR / EWST / MST.

The Stress Testing Analytics Group (STAG) within CTO Forecast Methodologies is responsible for Stress Testing Forecast execution, reporting and analysis on Treasury-related stress testing measurements, including margin, NII and other TBSM Stress Testing ad-hoc analysis.

Additional Information
  • Experience with Treasury or Market Risk experience is preferred.
  • Experience (2+) with capital market, financial instruments, derivatives, market risk valuation.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills.
  • A highly analytical person with excellent skills in Microsoft Excel and PowerPoint, and with ability to think conceptually.
  • Experience with query (SQL) and large quantity of data retrieval and analysis is a plus.
  • The following experience/knowledge is not required, but considered as an asset: SAS VA / MLE, Tableau, Tableau, AOCI/OTTI knowledge
Education
Minimum undergraduate degree in Business Administration, Finance, Mathematics, or similar fields. Accounting or Finance designation (CFA, FRM, CMA, etc.) is considered as an asset
