Precision is looking for a Treasury Intern to join the team for summer 2023.

• Applicants must be 18 years or older.
• Applicants must have housing accommodations or transportation in the Calgary area, as Precision does not provide internship housing.
• By May 10, 2023, applicants must have completed at least their first year of study in a post-secondary program/Technical Institute.

Summary

This internship will give the intern valuable, real-world experience, as well as provide support to the Tax and Treasury team. The intern will gain exposure to various functions within Finance and participate in projects to support initiatives.

Responsibilities

• Cash management, including monitoring of daily cash position and analyzing bank fees.
• Preparation of 12-week cash forecast.
• Analyze and provide recommendations for daily borrowing/investment of excess cash/foreign exchange requirements.
• Execute daily transactions using online banking platforms.
• Provide support for Accounts Payable; release AP payments for the execution by the banks and ensure sufficient funding is in place.
• Month end/quarter end reporting of interest and fees.
• Management and administration of access to online banking platforms.
• Assist with opening/ closing/ maintenance of bank accounts in Canada, USA and international locations.
• Administer, manage, and maintain a master listing of all bank accounts (both external and internal), related documentation and authorized signers.
• Investigate and coordinate daily bank account inquiries.
• Assist with the issuance, reductions, cancellations, and reporting of Letters of Credit.
• Collaborate with internal business stakeholders and external banking partners to provide insights, analysis, and recommendations.
• Liaise with legal department to ensure correct documentation prepared for intercompany loans, dividend, and capital contributions.
• Ensure compliance with Treasury\'s policies and procedures.
• Ad-hoc duties as required and assigned.
• This position involves support and participation in corporate treasury processes and procedures.

Education

Currently pursuing a degree in Finance or Accounting

Working towards Certified Treasury Professional (CTP) designation preferred.

Experience

Strong computer skills, including Microsoft Excel.

Knowledge of SAP considered an asset.

Knowledge of online banking platforms considered an asset.

Precision Drilling
