The Township of South Frontenac is looking for a Treasury Clerk like you!

Are you someone who enjoys helping others, staying organized, and being part of a team that keeps community services running smoothly? As a Treasury Clerk, you'll be one of the friendly faces and helpful voices of our Treasury Department, supporting residents with inquiries related to taxation and utilities.

In this role, you'll handle a variety of responsibilities - from processing payments to keeping assessment records accurate and up to date. You'll be a valuable source of information for the public, developing a strong understanding of how our municipality and other levels of government work together. Your commitment to providing courteous, timely, and accurate service will help ensure every resident has a positive experience.

You'll also step in to support front reception by greeting visitors and responding to incoming calls, helping to create a welcoming atmosphere at our front desk.

As the ideal candidate you are an organized team player who is proficient with computer software and enjoys working with people. You bring a two-year post-secondary diploma in business administration or a related field and at least one year of relevant experience - ideally in a government or institutional setting. You possess a collaborative attitude and the ability to build positive working relationships with both colleagues and the public.

We also provide employer-paid enrollment in the online Municipal Tax Administration Program, which you'll complete within two years of starting - an excellent opportunity to grow your career in municipal services.

The position is based on a 40-hour work week (8:30 - 4:30 with a half hour paid lunch) Excellent benefits in accordance with the Collective Agreement with CUPE Local 4336 Enrollment in the Ontario Municipal Employees Retirement System (OMERS)
