Travel Registered Nurse (RN) - Medical/Surgical Unit

Job Summary

We are seeking a compassionate and skilled

Registered Nurse (RN)

with experience in

medical-surgical (med/surg)

settings to join our team for

travel assignments across British Columbia

. The ideal candidate will have a strong clinical background, excellent communication skills, and a commitment to delivering patient-centered care in high-demand hospital environments. Responsibilities

Deliver high-quality nursing care to patients in a

medical/surgical setting

, ensuring comfort and safety Perform assessments, monitor vital signs, and document changes in patients' conditions Administer medications and treatments as prescribed, following established protocols Collaborate with physicians and multidisciplinary teams to develop and implement care plans Educate patients and their families on diagnoses, medications, procedures, and discharge care Maintain accurate documentation using

Cerner

or

Epic

electronic health records (EMR) Participate in team huddles, rounds, and case reviews to optimize patient outcomes Assist with lab tests, wound care, and procedures in accordance with safety standards

Experience & Qualifications

Registered Nurse (RN)

in good standing with the

British Columbia College of Nurses and Midwives (BCCNM)

Minimum

2 years of recent experience

in a medical/surgical unit or acute care setting

BCLS (Basic Life Support)

- required Strong understanding of medical terminology and med/surg nursing practices Proficient in

medication administration

, patient assessments, and care documentation Comfortable using

Cerner or Epic EMR systems

Excellent communication and teamwork skills with a patient-focused approach Able to manage multiple priorities in fast-paced hospital environments

Vulnerable Sector Check (VSC)

completed within the past 12 months Willingness to travel and work at multiple healthcare facilities in BC
