Available to start ASAP- Great Compensation Mara Home and Health Services is currently looking to provide exciting travel nursing assignments in remote and rural communities in Manitoba! community locations will be revealed following job appointment. This is an amazing learning opportunity with unlimited potential for professional and personal growth, and a unique way to experience an expanded clinical scope while enjoying an adventure at the same time! We will offer orientation and training, higher than average wages and travel and housing expenses are fully paid for. The successful candidate will provide high-quality community health relief support and exceptional nursing care to clients residing in the Indigenous Communities of the provinces. The experienced Northern Nurse must adhere to the policies and procedures under the direction of the Government of Manitoba. Certifications Required; -CPR/BLS, Immunization Provider Training, TDG, ACLS, PALS, WHMIS, ITLS (International Trauma Life Support), etc. (registration into courses are acceptable before start date of employment)

  • Member in good standing with the CRNM
  • Valid driver\'s license
  • Apply the nursing process utilizing the skills of observation, assessment, nursing diagnosis, counselling, and health teaching according to the established care plan. The interdisciplinary team will ensure that, on an ongoing basis, the emotional, spiritual, physical comfort and safety of clients are met to the greatest possible extent within the scope of practice.
  • Recent Criminal Record Check or willingness to provide
  • Strong assessment skills and proven ability to effectively communicate required along with exceptional interpersonal skills, and an ability to handle difficult situations in an objective consistent format

  • International Trauma Life Support (ITLS);
  • FNIHB Nursing Education Module on Controlled Substances in First Nations.
  • Education Program for Immunization Competencies (EPIC)
  • Proof of successful completion of ISC Initial Immunization Competency Program and subsequent Immunization Recertification, including ongoing revisions, as provided by ISC. (Manitoba only)
  • Workplace Hazardous Materials Information System.
  • Transportation of Dangerous Goods (TDG).

Pay: Contract (Rates based on experience) plus Daily living expenses allowance Job Types: Part-time, Casual
