Bayshore HealthCare\xe2\x80\x99s Northern Nursing program has provided high-quality community health relief staffing services to Indigenous and Northern communities since 1997. Our Nurses experience exciting assignments in Northern Canada\'s isolated, semi-isolated, and remote areas. Work closely with diverse Indigenous communities (First Nations, Inuit, and M\xc3\xa9tis) providing care to community members in Canada\xe2\x80\x99s remote Northern communities of British Columbia, Alberta, Manitoba, Ontario, Yukon, Northwest Territories, and Nunavut.

The work you will do:

• Provide nursing care for patients from administration and implementation of medical investigation and therapeutic programs through the application of knowledge of general nursing, physical health, and psycho-social well-being
• Provide organization, direction, supervision and collaboration in the planning and implementation of nursing best practices
• Ensure that, on an ongoing basis, the emotional, spiritual, physical comfort and safety of clients are met to the greatest possible extent within the scope of practice
• Current opportunities include ER/Med Surg/ICU where Bayshore is the primary provider of staffing solutions to the Yukon Hospital Corporation which overseas the staffing of three hospitals
• Minimum 3 to 4 week placements

Qualifications

Who You Are:

• You are a graduate from an accredited School of Nursing and have a nursing license through the governing body in good standing
• You have or are willing to obtain a nursing license through the Yukon Registered Nurses Association (YRNA)
• You have a minimum of 1 year (1950 hours) recent work experience related to assigned specialty area (ER/Med Surg/ICU)
• Mandatory skillsets and additional training requirements and reimbursements will be discussed during interview
