Bayshore HealthCare\xe2\x80\x99s Northern Nursing program has provided high-quality community health relief staffing services to Indigenous and northern communities since 1997. Our Nurses work closely with diverse Indigenous communities (First Nations, Inuit and M\xc3\xa9tis), providing care to community members in Canada\xe2\x80\x99s North.

The work you will do:

Work in a team atmosphere within an expanded scope of practice providing healthcare services to pre-natal and adult patients for trauma and primary care, including delivery of newborns, treating minor acute illnesses and injuries, and conducting general treatment clinics. Utilize the skills of observation, assessment, nursing diagnosis, counseling, and health teaching according to care plan. Ensure that, on an ongoing basis, the emotional, spiritual, physical comfort and safety of clients are met to the greatest possible extent within the scope of practice.

Qualifications

Who You Are:

• You are a graduate from an accredited School of Nursing and have a nursing license through the governing body in good standing
• You have or are willing to obtain a nursing license through the College of Registered Nurses of Manitoba (CRNM)
• You have 3,000 hours of Regular Work experience, in the past five (5) years working in Remote, Isolated and/or Semi-Isolated communities OR 3,000 hours of Regular Work experience, in the past three (3) years performing nursing services in primary care and advanced clinical assessments
• Valid experience must be obtained in the emergency, intensive care unit or in community settings such as health care centres (e.g. urgent care centre, quick care centre)
• Mandatory skillsets and additional training requirements and reimbursements will be discussed during interview
