What you\xe2\x80\x99ll do It\xe2\x80\x99s safe to say, there\xe2\x80\x99s no shortage of variety in what we do. Here are some key accountabilities of the role:
This position is responsible for supporting all aspects of travel services for TJX Canada. Key accountabilities include regular review and recommendations on travel policy or enhancements for the travel program, monitoring travel contract compliance, providing meaningful analysis on travel data, maintaining relationship with third party travel vendors & internal partners.
Serves as the internal and external key point of contact for travel and event related matters, including policy guidelines and requests.
Collaborates with internal and external partners to address questions around policy, procedures and other travel and event related matters.
Trains users on Travel tools, policies, and traveler best practices.
Supports all aspects of new and existing travel management company (TMC) contracts, negotiations, and relationships including ensuring policies and procedures are followed.
Manages travel related communications.
Manages and maintain approvals, content, and integrations for travel tools including testing for rate loading accuracy.
Analyzes data for compliance, identifies trends and make recommendations on improving traveler experience.
Manages all aspects of travel reporting and analysis to include dashboard reports to various levels of the business; identifies trends, policy non-compliance, & make recommendations for cost optimization.
Manages company travel credit card and ensuring accuracy and timely payment of travel charges; manages Associate corporate charges to ensure all accounts are maintained by Associates on a good standing and escalate delinquent accounts on a timely manner.
Provides assistance to travelers obtaining travel visas as needed; remains updated on travel laws, regulations and provide guidance to travelers as needed.
Builds and maintains strong partnerships with all travelers, travel agents, and third-party travel partners (Credit Card Company used for Travel, Hotels, Key Airlines & Travel Management Company).
What you\xe2\x80\x99ll need To begin your career with us, we require the following:
A post-secondary education in Travel Administration, Business/Commerce, Accounting, Finance, or related discipline.
Minimum five (5) years of related professional experience within the travel industry in the capacity of Corporate Travel Manager.
Strong analytical and reporting skills; ability to present to variety of audiences.
Ability to monitor travel policy, research emerging trends or technology, and make recommendations for changes to program.
Familiarity with the following categories: TMC, air, car, hotel, meetings & events and online booking tools are a strong asset.
Strong problem-solving skills including analysis of information (i.e. requirements, description of problems) capable of providing solutions with cost implications to effectively resolve issues and execute strategic solutions.
Solid organizational and project management skills including structured project methodology (i.e. determining needs, researching existing programs, etc.), preparing and maintaining detailed development plans for projects, determining project specifications and applying principles of project control to launch and manage new initiatives.
Excellent written, verbal communication skills, active listening skills, as well as demonstrated public speaking skills; persuasive influencing skills to build cross- functional relationships with a variety of stakeholders and business partners.
Demonstrated customer service skills to respond effectively and efficiently to external and internal partners
Excellent computer skills including MS Office - Word, Excel, PowerPoint; Power BI, Access, SharePoint, travel programs and other tools used for data analysis.
Salary Range: $85,430 - $129,188 /year
This represents the expected hiring range and may not represent the full pay range for the position. The salary offered may be higher than the posted range depending on several factors such as relevant skills, qualifications, and experience.
