We are looking for a highly motivated individual to join our team! Casual/Seasonal Travel Counsellor \xe2\x80\x93 Emerson, Manitoba Travel Manitoba is looking for a future team member who is personable, customer service oriented and passionate about Manitoba, our home in the middle of Canada, a place where you can find adventure, reflection and relaxation! Travel Manitoba is a Crown Corporation responsible for stimulating innovative, sustainable tourism growth in Manitoba\xe2\x80\x99s $1.6 billion tourism industry. In partnership with the tourism industry, Travel Manitoba is responsible for tourism marketing, destination management, visitor information services, research and public information. We are looking to fill a Casual/Seasonal employment as soon as possible, at our Emerson Visitor Information Centre located on Highway 75 at the Canada/U.S. border. Our centre is open to the public year-round. As a casual, you will fill shifts on an as required and/or needed basis; with an opportunity to work full time hours from July to September 2023. We are looking for a hard-working individual who is enthusiastic and comfortable interacting with the public. All of our staff are proud to promote our beautiful province so a positive attitude is a MUST! As a Travel Counsellors, you have an opportunity enhance travel experiences assisting Canadian and International travellers by providing maps, travel brochures and travel and trip planning assistance. Our Travel Counsellors help visitors with any questions as well as provide personalized recommendations about places to go and things to see and do while they are in Manitoba. Qualifications: The successful applicant will demonstrate excellent interpersonal and customer service skills, possess strong organizational and communication abilities and have the ability to work independently as well as part of a team. An understanding of the tourism industry, particularly in Manitoba is an asset. Computer proficiencies will include Microsoft Word, Excel and Outlook. Bilingualism (English/French) is an asset.
