The Nuna Group of Companies is now accepting resumes for a Travel Coordinator. Preferably with large earthworks construction experience.

Nuna is the largest Inuit-owned heavy civil construction, earthworks and mine construction contractor in Canada.

As the Travel Coordinator you will be responsible for the efficient day to day coordination of commercial and charter travel requests within a budgeted value for Nuna employees.

Location
: Edmonton, Alberta
Type: Fulltime, Permanent
Hours: 40+ hrs. / week (Overtime when required)

Main Roles and Responsibilities:
  • Manage the day-to-day travel requests of all Nuna site employees within Canada.
  • Manage all travel requirements for designated projects on a weekly rotational basis.
  • Analyze travel needs for manpower schedule, and create detailed travel schedule.
  • Coordinate all details with site administrators, Project Managers and employees daily
  • Book commercial / charter travel as required within Nuna guidelines, considering cost and schedules.
  • Communicate all travel details to employees.
  • Coordinate, arrange and book air travel transportation.
  • Coordinate, arrange and book hotels for employees.
  • Follow up with employees to ensure travel details were received and understood.
  • Stay in communication with all traveling employees and ensuring they are aware of any changes throughout the process; Coordinate accommodations for employees during any flight cancellations and re-book travel when required.
  • Work closely with the Human Resource administrators to ensure travelers are booked according to work schedules.
  • Work with the Human Resources team to process employee rotational allowance details;
  • Build and maintain relationships with all client representatives.
  • Assist the executive assistant with travel arrangements for Nuna Management team when required.
  • Understand the site requirements for each work site and communicate them to the employee appropriately.
  • Work closely with Nuna job sites to ensure all changes and additions to manpower / travel schedules are accurate on an ongoing basis.
  • Conduct weekly reconciliations of all travel transactions and provide to the Accounts Payable department, including Nuna accounting codes.
  • Maintain a database of employee travel preferences.
  • Coordinate taxis/ shuttles/busses/ car rentals as required.
  • Perform Human Resources administrative tasks when required.
  • Other general office related duties as directed.




Qualifications:
  • 1-2 years\' experience in a similar role is required.
  • Previous experience working closely with a variety of aviation organizations is considered an asset.
  • Exemplary ability to multi-task is essential.
  • Ability to work under tight deadlines and during high pressure situations.
