Highlights:
- Continuously review outbound volumes shipped and provide recommendations for cube utilization restructure of run combinations;
- Guide, direct and coach dispatch team and drivers to achieve prescribed objectives;
- Continuously reviews inbound volumes shipped and provides recommendations for growth of backhaul program;
- Coordinates drivers, equipment and freight, as well provides guidance to the shipping department based on volume needs of routes.
- Post-secondary studies or related experience;
- 3 years transportation experience or related industry experience;
- Warehousing/distribution centre experience;
- Very strong knowledge of Shipping & Transportation functions;
- Excellent communication, organizational, and leadership skills is a must;
- Strong writing skills;
- Experience in a management or leadership role;
- Superior decision making skills;
- Self-motivated and ability to motivate others;
- Intermediate to excellent computer skills: Outlook, Windows NT, MS Office (Word, Excel, MapPoint).
- Bilingualism.
