Home and Community Support Services (HCSS) of Grey-Bruce is a team of caring staff and volunteers who provide community based services that support independence and enhance the quality of daily life for seniors, adults and their families.

About the role

The role of Transportation Scheduler will be responsible for the scheduling of transportation requests while utilizing all available resources within the policy framework and practices of HCSS. Some of the programs that the scheduler will be coordinating include Adult Social Transportation, Non-Emergency Medical Transportation, and Adult Day Program transportation. This is a full-time position working 35 hours per week and based in Owen Sound.

Skills required

The ideal candidate will be able to work efficiently in a cooperative team environment with the goal of coordinating client transportation requests. This individual will also thrive in a fast paced environment, has the ability to think on their feet, and strong verbal communication skills with an emphasis on telephone skills. Additionally, this individual will have great working knowledge of different computer programs (Microsoft office, Novus, etc), and has a strong understanding of the Grey-Bruce geographical area.

Employment Requirements

Valid G Drivers license Reliable mode of transportation 3 to 5 years of experience working in an office setting, scheduling software and/or data inputting Previous experience working with seniors and/or physically disabled adults is considered an asset
