We are looking for a reliable and safety-focused

Transload Operator

to join our transload team. This role is critical to the safe and efficient loading and unloading of products at our site. As a Transload Operator, you will work primarily outdoors in the yard (approximately 90% of the role), with some administrative and documentation tasks completed in the office.

This is a physically demanding, hands-on position that requires strong attention to detail, a commitment to safety, and the ability to work collaboratively in an operational environment.

Key Responsibilities



As a Transload Operator, your responsibilities will include:

Following all company Health, Safety, and Environmental (HSE) policies and actively promoting a strong safety culture on site

Interacting professionally and respectfully with coworkers, contractors, and third-party personnel

Inspecting railcars before and after loading and unloading operations

Unloading railcars containing HCL using company-provided transloading equipment

Unloading methanol railcars directly from the BOV using approved fittings and hoses

Weighing trucks in and out using the Cardinal scale system

Completing required pre- and post-loading/unloading documentation, tickets, and railcar paperwork

Maintaining equipment in clean, safe working condition and reporting improvement opportunities to management

Ensuring the site yard and work areas remain clean, organized, and safe at all times

Properly storing tools, meters, and equipment

Monitoring and maintaining inventory of office supplies, tools, and operational materials

Communicating supply or equipment needs to the Terminal Manager in advance

Performing general site, equipment, and limited railcar maintenance as required

Working closely with Operations personnel, including administration staff, fellow Operators, the Terminal Manager, and Operations Management

Reporting equipment issues, safety concerns, or operational deficiencies immediately

Performing other duties as needed to support efficient and effective site operations

Qualifications



The ideal candidate will bring the following skills and experience:

Previous

labour or industrial work experience

Strong problem-solving skills, including the ability to troubleshoot and perform basic preventative maintenance Basic math skills Ability to work safely in a

physically demanding role

, including: Standing, walking, sitting for extended periods Lifting, pushing, pulling, reaching, shoveling, crawling Working outdoors in varying weather conditions Strong work ethic with the ability to stay focused and attentive to detail Team-oriented mindset with excellent reliability Organizational skills and attention to detail Basic computer skills, including limited use of Microsoft Office programs Ability to read, understand, and follow safety and operating procedures Preference will be given to candidates with H2S, First Aid and TDG certificates No formal education required; training duration will vary based on experience and aptitude
