- Thoroughly inspect rail cars, primarily hoppers cars.
- Perform rail switching of rail hopper cars
- Operate Car Mover to index hopper cars thru the wash tracks and loading tracks
- Wash and dry empty rail hopper cars
- Load rail hopper cars with bulk polypropylene pellets
- General Maintenance ("bolt on \xe2\x80\x93bolt off") as well as cleaning, housekeeping and snow removal
- Look to expand the role into rail switching and/or locomotive operation
- A sound understanding or aptitude to learn the loading of bulk plastics
- Understands, or willing to learn, railroad operations and safety
- Mechanically inclined
- Must pass a pre-employment physical, reference checks, drug screen, motor-vehicle report and criminal background check
- Must be able to attend and pass all test associated with job related coursework. This includes, but it not limited to: IROR, CROR, WHMIS, TDG,
- Willing to reliably fulfill the following work schedule: 12 hour rotating shifts (days and nights
- A high school diploma
- Experience in the petrochemical field or other industrial environment preferred
- Locomotive operation is an asset
- Railcar Mover operation experience is an asset
