Job Summary

We are looking for a motivated and reliable Warehouse Assistant / Transfer Driver to become an essential part of our team. In this dynamic role, you will be responsible for both warehouse operations and driving duties, ensuring that our products are transferred safely and efficiently. The ideal candidate will have a strong work ethic, excellent communication skills, and a passion for providing top-notch service. Shifts may vary anytime between 9am - 9pm, and preference will be given to someone with flexibility in their schedule.

Responsibilities

Load and unload goods in the warehouse, ensuring proper handling and storage to maintain product quality. Operate various commercial vehicles, including sprinters and 5-ton trucks for deliveries. Navigate designated routes efficiently while adhering to all safety regulations and traffic laws. Perform routine inspections on vehicles to ensure they are in good working condition before each trip. Assist with inventory management by tracking shipments and reporting any discrepancies or damages. Communicate effectively with team members and customers regarding delivery schedules and any potential issues. Utilize equipment such as forklifts and pallet jacks for moving heavy items within the warehouse. Maintain a clean and organized workspace in both the warehouse and vehicle to promote safety.

Skills / Qualifications

Proven experience as a delivery driver or in a similar role is preferred. Strong mechanical knowledge to perform basic vehicle maintenance and troubleshooting. Excellent communication skills to interact positively with colleagues and clients alike. A valid class 5 driver's license. Previous warehouse experience is advantageous, particularly in load/unload operations.
