POSITION: Transfer Driver

OBJECTIVE:
This is a hybrid position with time split between safely facilitating the movement of materials between Metal Supermarkets locations and processing metal products in our warehouse. The transfer driver must arrive at work each day well groomed, rested and alert. This individual is expected to conduct him/herself in a professional manner conducive to maintaining effective inter store and customer relationships. When not occupied with driving duties this position supports the warehouse with day to day operations.

RESPONSIBILITIES:

Pick up and deliver materials between Metal Supermarkets locations in a safe and efficient manner. Support delivery drivers with customer deliveries and vendor pickups, fill in as a delivery driver when required. Cut customer orders to customer specifications using metal cutting equipment such as saws, hydraulic shear, etc. Safely operate forklift to move material around the Warehouse Assist in proper maintenance of vehicles and equipment (saws, forklift etc.) ensuring safety first for everyone Ensure Warehouse is clean, organized and safe at all times Perform other duties as requested
QUALIFICATIONS:

Proven driving ability with knowledge of the city and and a clean drivers abstract Ability to accurately use measuring instruments - i.e.: tape measure and dial calipers Physically able to frequently lift/move metal product weighing 50 -100 lbs
