Job Title: Transaction Control Analyst
Location: Fort Saskatchewan AB
Length: 10 Month
Rotation: Mon-Fri 8.5 hour days for contractors with every 3rd Friday off, During turnaround it will be 10 hr days 6 days a week.

Accountabilities:

• Receive and sort timesheets from vendors
• Verify contractors\' labor hours, material and equipment costs against timesheets and vendor contract details
• Validation of timesheets against gate swipe access system for any discrepancies
• Approve validated time in TRACK system for vendor payment
• Data entry of Non-Track vendors\' labor hours, material and equipment costs into Excel for upload into Forecaster program
• Identify issues related to timesheets and communicate these with vendor timekeepers or Shell field leads
• Identify discrepancies based on contracts in place for the Turnaround event and communicate these with Contracting & Procurement (CP) team
• Work closely with Turnaround Cost Control Team to identify trends
• Assist with the preparation of daily accruals for vendor time not yet submitted
• Ad hoc duties as required by TCT Lead

Special Challenges:

• Identifying and resolving issues
• Reviewing a very large volume of transactions under time constraints
• Extended working hours during Turnaround execution phase (6 days x 10 hours/day)
• Careful attention to detail is necessary due to the high need for accuracy

Experience and Qualifications Required:

• Strong communication skills. Ability to communicate clearly and credibly while demonstrating integrity with Turnaround management team, CP team, external vendors and other relevant stakeholders
• Accounting knowledge - in relation to understanding and creating accruals and performing reconciliations
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
• Above average Excel skills and understanding required
• Previous Turnaround or Energy industry experience would be considered an asset
• Previous SAP and Adobe Pro experience would be considered an asset

Additional considerations:
Targeted start date will be around February 20, 2023 and duration will be until end of November 2023 (potentially earlier depending on the requirements of the Turnaround)
Role with be virtual due to new ways of working, so will need to be able to have a home office set up. Required to meet on site for first & last day for IT pick up & drop off (will need to be able to pass visitor security check). Basically, working pattern is 8.5 hour days for contractors with every 3rd Friday off, during the Turnaround execution period (beginning of April to beginning of June and Mid-August to Mid-October), candidate will be required to work 6 days/ week and ~ 10 hrs/ day.
