Training Specialist Description NOTE Assignment Type: This position is currently listed as "Hybrid" and consultants will be required to work onsite at the work location 3 days a week and 2 days from home. The details of this arrangement will be confirmed with the Hiring Manager. Extension/Amendment Attestation: These resources will be acquired through the IT Source Resource Pool or VOR Competitive arrangement #Tender_12075 Managed Service Provider for Contingent IT Resources and/or Successor VOR for services all ending April 5, 2025. VOR #Tender_12075 terminates April 5, 2025 and has an option to extend for a further one year. The resources needed till March 31, 2026, will include an option to extend, at the same rate, till March 31, 2026 if Tender_12075 Managed Service Provider for Contingent IT Resources is also extended for a further one year, else an RFS under the Successor VOR will be issued for the services required after April 5, 2025 to March 31, 2026. ===================================================== Responsibilities:

  • Design, development, and review of the education and communication strategy curriculum and training documentation for all HSPs implemented on the MIS and HRIS solutions
  • Online Learning Management System support and document maintenance
  • Provide guidance of the design and development of training and communication materials for working groups, information sessions, stakeholders and other subject matter experts
  • Facilitate working group and information sessions both internally and externally to gain understanding of educational training needs in a variety of formats
  • Create, manage, and publish project and department communications through the approval process
  • Consult and facilitate the delivery of technical training relating to MIS and HRIS software and reporting needs in conjunction with other resources, including legislative, and pandemic requirements
  • Follow industry best practices, processes, and policies that are required to maintain and support privacy and security requirements.
Skills Experience and Skill Set Requirements Public Sector Experience 2+ years working in Public Sector in Health Care Knowledge of personal health information protection legislative requirements and how they apply to developing and maintaining healthcare systems containing personal health information (PHI) 5 points Training Skills Design, development, and review of training documentation Extensive experience in providing end user customer service Online learning system requirements, support, and maintenance Facilitates working group and information sessions 40 points Management and Communication Skills Proven track record for building strong working relationships Strong interpersonal, verbal, and written communication skills Excellent customer service skills, including tact and diplomacy to ensure client needs are managed effectively Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making skills Ability to apply strong listening skills to effectively facilitate webinars A motivated, flexible, creative team player with perseverance, excellent multi-tasking abilities, and a proven track record for meeting strict deadlines 35 points Management Information Systems (MIS/HRIS) Experience Experience with MIS Solution Report modifications to meet the reporting needs of healthcare client Proficiency with MIS, OHRS standards, MMS (Materials Management System) is desired Proficiency with HRIS Quadrant application, HR, Payroll, Scheduling, Leave Management and QSS modules is desired. 20 points
