About the role

You'll lead and grow an OEM-supported automotive apprenticeship program in partnership with provincial governments and community colleges. You'll supervise a small team and coordinate training center capacity, course deployment, instructor support, and day-to-day operations. The role blends program promotion/outreach, training operations, and light IT/facilities support for remote training centers.

What you'll do

Grow apprenticeship recruitment through relationships with

provincial ministries

,

community colleges

, and dealerships. Advocate for the program at a

national

level; represent the program at job fairs and industry events. Plan and schedule factory-trained technician curriculum; manage

training center capacity

and

level scheduling

. Coordinate technical training development and deployment; interface cross-functionally with internal teams. Provide

remote training center/instructor IT & facilities support

(basic setup/troubleshooting). Manage rosters, enrollments, attendance, grading, and timely billing in the LMS/center systems. Track Minimum Training Standards (MTS) compliance; follow up with locations at risk. Maintain reporting (attendance, compliance) and support operational R&D for tools/process improvements. Travel as required (Ontario/Michigan; occasional out-of-province). No scheduled contractor shutdown days.
What you'll bring

Must-haves



5+ years

automotive industry experience (dealer/OEM environment preferred). Strong program coordination or training operations experience; able to work

independently

with minimal direction. Comfortable promoting programs at

job fairs

;

outgoing

communication style with excellent stakeholder skills.

Microsoft Office

(Word, Excel, PowerPoint) proficiency; data accuracy and reporting discipline.

Valid driver's license

and ability to travel; able to obtain a

passport

for U.S. travel.

Nice to have



Journeyperson/Red Seal

automotive technician certification. Prior

apprenticeship

or dealership technician background (ASEP or similar). Working knowledge of automotive systems and service/warranty processes.

Bilingual (English/French)

preferred but not required. Experience using an

LMS

and coordinating

virtual

and

hands-on

technical training.
Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $75,000.00-$83,000.00 per year

Work Location: Hybrid remote in Oshawa, ON
