About the Role





As

Training Design Specialist, Client Services,

you'll be responsible for developing and designing new courses and curriculum based on identified needs, editing and developing existing material and creating learning experiences and environments for the GroupHEALTH client services team. This is a hybrid opportunity out of either our Surrey, BC or Barrie, ON offices.




What to expect in your first 3-6 months:




Within 30 Days:


Gain a solid understanding of the organization's learning and development (L&D) processes. Become familiar with the tools and technologies used for instructional design (e.g., authoring tools, LMS). Start building relationships with the training team, subject matter experts (SMEs) and stakeholders. Begin to understand GroupHEALTH and the function of the Client Services department.

Within 60 Days:


Independently completes assigned tasks within the ID process (e.g., needs analysis, content creation, development). Applies existing training design expertise to company projects. Demonstrates strong collaboration skills by working effectively with subject matter experts (SMEs) and other team members.

Within 6 months:


Manages assigned projects independently, meeting deadlines and quality standards. Identifies opportunities for improvement in training materials or processes. Shares knowledge and expertise with colleagues through mentoring or training



What You'll Do




Collaborate with Director, Learning and Change and other Training Specialists on training initiatives for the Client Services department Design Soft Skill Workshops and job specific training for both virtual and in person facilitation Support Client Services Training team by acting as a subject matter expert on adult learning principles and instructional design Support Client Services Trainers with training on how to use learning technologies Update training material in collaboration with Director, Change and Learning, and other team trainers as processes change and develop. Keeping current on best practices in instructional design Write Scripts for video and audio Content Collaborates with Subject Matter experts to develop course content Project work as assigned Performing other duties as assigned by the Supervisor or Manager, Group Benefits Administration


What We're Looking For




Group Benefits Knowledge is an asset Adult Learning Certification Previous experience as a classroom instructor Previous experience in instructional design Familiarity with the following programs (or similar programs) would be an asset: + Camtasia

Compensation





At the time of this posting, the estimated annual base salary for this position is $70,000-$75,000. Individual compensation within this range is determined by factors such as job-related skills, relevant experience, and education/training. This range reflects the annual base salary only and does not encompass the comprehensive total rewards package that we proudly offer.
