Major Duties



The Nuclear Service Training Coordinator is responsible for delivering a best-in-class training experience to ATS\xe2\x80\x99 nuclear customers and internal teams. You will work with the training team to analyze training requirements specific to customer needs and research, write, teach and/or source training courses related to identifiable needs. You will assist with the development and maintenance of internal training for the nuclear teams at ATS.

Specific Responsibilities



Training Coordination:

  • Maintain, execute and develop existing training procedures and apply those procedures to
  • support production schedules while meeting training scheduling.
  • Schedule classes based on equipment and customer availability.
  • Preparation and review of training quotations to respond to customers R.F.Q.\xe2\x80\x99s.
  • Be able to be on call on a rotational basis and take the lead to help non-service personnel on
  • call at any time.

Training Content Creation:

  • Assist in the development of technical curriculum, such as student course books, in the area of
  • Automation Systems, Safety, and I.S.O.
  • Assist in the integration of support manuals with that of training material and verify the delivery of
  • the information to ATS customers.
  • Support the development of digital twin for training, training videos and IIoT software training for
  • integration into the training program
  • Develop and capture video content of technical material and provide editing, audio overlay, text
  • overlay and processing and integrate Human Performance behaviors into the training programs

Training Delivery:

  • Conduct programs to train ATS customers in equipment installation, programming, safety,
  • maintenance and repair of custom machinery and equipment such as robots and programmable
  • controllers, following manuals, specifications, blueprints and schematics, using hand tools,
  • measuring instruments and test equipment.
  • Make follow-up calls with customer to verify that the quality of training delivered meets or
  • exceeds customer expectations in an efficient manner.
  • Confer with management, other ATS resources and customers to determine training objectives.

General Duties:

  • Ensure that all business activities are performed with the highest ethical standards and in compliance with the ATS Code of Business Conduct.
  • Work in compliance with divisional health, safety and environmental procedures.



Qualifications



Education:

Three-year college diploma in an engineering field, or successful completion of a skilled trades apprenticeship or degree in instructional design, instructional technology, adult education or equivalent experience.
Experience:

A minimum of two years of experience in customer training as well as the assembly, repair or service of automation machines or equipment. Familiar with word processing, basic CAD, and PC\xe2\x80\x99s. Must be able to work in a multi-disciplined engineering environment. Good mechanical aptitude required. Excellent communication, teamwork and presentation skills, and the ability to succeed in a fast-paced environment are essential. Previous experience in training and program development is preferred. The ideal candidate will possess strong computer skills and will be flexible in working occasional overtime and weekend shifts to meet customer schedules.
